DAILY MESSAGES – Rev. E. Anderson

30/04/32

DAY BY DAY

Day by day there needs to be deeper and greater aspiration after the LORD. He has awakened you to spiritual and heavenly factors and He has arranged that such should come to pass. There is a greater intimacy and communion to be known. As He took three close disciples, Peter, James and John for a unique disclosure so their much more in terms of holy revelation for you. He wills that you learn to ascend the mount with Him so that much more will be added to your life, ministry and testimony. As a consequence you will see the kingdom of heaven in active operation in the lives you will be called to love, serve and bless./

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

A promise is a divine bedrock on which you can safely build on and see fulfilled. His assurance to you today is what was given to Jeremiah to pass on to Israel when they were in great straits. It looked as if the nation was to become a non-entity, finished and done for. ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you . . . thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope’ – Jer 29:11. When all was gloom and doom an infinite promise of worth and prospect was birthed. These words apply to you and your present condition. Do not bewail your negative state but receive the inspired word from the LORD who is about to initiate a great order and movement of blessing. It is time to take hold and see Him work mightily on your behalf

QUOTES TO THINK ABOUT

Don’t grumble because you don’t have what you want . . . Rather be exceedingly grateful you do’t get what you deserve.

It is not the greatness of my trials but the littleness of my faith that causes me to complain.

DAY BY DAY

Day by day, that is the routine of life. One can simply allow it to dull and drab, minus purpose, drive and great accomplishment, or transform such by our mental attitude action. Thank the LORD that He has given you the privilege of being, life and opportunity to make it productive and see some glorious consequences. Reading the life stories of seemingly ordinary people in the Bible who saw their worth in the LORD and allowed Him to work out His eternal plan. Observe the life of Abraham, Joseph, Ruth and Esther besides others who came from a humble background and became significant. You, too, must make a valid and valuable contribution to existence and so challenge others to upgrade their life-style. Begin now and make a difference!

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

So many promises are given in God’s Promise Box, the Holy Scriptures, that guarantee the complete and continual provision for all of life’s journey. Just as an individual likes to keep track of their bank account so that all is in good order financially, so the Christian believer should know of their bountiful legacy to be received through Christ. You are not bankrupt child of God. As you take hold of the rich assurances of God’s promises you will discover what a choice inheritance is yours. Charles Spurgeon wrote a book called The Cheque Book of Faith and it is full of information and instruction on how your life-style can be as God your Father willed for you in Christ. So do not miss out or be robbed of your inheritance and what is in the Title Deeds for you, NOW.

QUOTES TO THINK ABOUT

THe church needs less advice on ‘how to do it’ and more members who are ‘willing to do it.’

Don’t stay away from worship services because the church is not perfect. Think how lonesome you would be in a perfect church.

Attending church regularly is a wonderful way to get both face and faith lifted.

29/04/18

Live in the spiritual, conscious awareness that the LORD and Creator is ever close by not simply observing you as to how you are behaving but is primarily present to work with you on your behalf for choice experiences. Did you but know it, He really is your best Friend and seeks to act as such. In no way will He (although possesses the right to do so) impose Himself or His agenda on you. It is something you should honestly, humbly and earnestly desire and seek. The psalmist was absolutely correct when he penned the following: ‘When you said, “‘Seek my face’, I replied, ‘your face LORD will I seek.'” There is nothing better or more rewarding for you to maintain your friendship and accord with Him. He is always going places and doing things if note and you need to be on such wonderful surprises.p

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

Jesus Christ said five words to Jairus in the midst of a very challenging situation. He had gone to Christ when his daughter was critically ill believing He could do something. But news reached him that it was too late because she had died. The news would seek to negative him but Christ was unmoved. He said to Jairus, ‘Be not afraid, only believe’ – Mark 5:36. Such did not stop Him in His tracks because He believed for and expected a miracle and encouraged this man to a new level of expectancy. He cancelled the negative with an inspiring positive. As faith was released his daughter was set free from the sentence of death and restored to the family. Now let your faith increase in Him and see what His promises will do for you. Miracles are for you today.

QUOTES TO THINK ABOUT

The problem with average Christian is that he is just an average a Christian.

A true Christian loves not the world, yet he loves all the world.

Going to church does’t make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile – Billy Sunday

27/04/18

Make your mind up to start each day in the best way. Getting off the blocks in a running race is vital to winning. And the wisest course is make sure you have your spiritual devotions, where you meet your LORD in prayer by His Holy Spirit and allow the Word of God its input. The effect will be a personal renewal and strengthening that will enable a successful negotiation of the hours ahead. He will be with you to inspire, guide and work things to your blessedness and usefulness. In no way will He override you but see that the best is wrought in and through you. At the end of every day you will have cause to be thankful you made a sound and sensible beginning. The returns will cause you to overflow with gratitude that you got it right.

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

It is always a very blessed thing when people really choose to remember you, making you conscious that you are in their thoughts in a meaningful and loving manner. The LORD would remind Israel that there was no likelihood that they would be forgotten and treated as no longer being important. He draws a comparison which they could value. He said: ‘can a woman forget her sucking child, that she she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet I will not forget thee’ – Isaiah 49:15. This holds good for you today. Maybe you feel alone and nobody shows any interest in you and sense the same about the LORD. This is never be the case with Him. You are so precious to Him that He ever thinks and works by which you can be helped and blessed. Today, know He is at hand even though you cannot see Him, He is ever present keeping a kind vigil over you and your affairs.

QUOTES TO THINK ABOUT

What lies behind or before us – are tiny masters compared with what kids with us . Your potential for good is waiting to be released.

You are never fully dress until you wear a a smile.

26/04/18

As the life and nature of Christ is within you, the potential when released makes Christ’s life and nature manifest through you. By your walk and talk it becomes apparent that you are being ministered to and motivated by another, Jesus Christ. He places you in the strongest position possible in order that you may produce a life and ministry that characterises Him in every way. People around, family friends and others see the real affinity and are impacted for good. Paul lived with this consciousness and conviction: ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me’ and ‘the life I now live I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me’ – Phil 4:13; Gal 2:20. So let Christ break out through you life so that all know around you has change you and now is in charge.

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

God certainly knew how to minister to Abraham our forefather and give him great assurance as he commenced his pilgrimage with Him. He gave him great assurance at 99 years of age these words: ‘I am the Almighty God, walk before me and be perfect’- Gen 1. As His servant and friend maintained a good accord with the LORD he was assured of His help at all times and in all situations. There was nothing He could not deal with and so he would experience seeing His power being made known. His own wife at 90 was to have a quickening in her womb so that she could bear a son. Isaac. The psalmist also underlines this when he stated: ‘Thou hast a mighty arm; strong is Thy hand’ – Psalm 89: 13. Realise this, His hand and arm have not lost their omnipotence and He waits to demonstrate such to you at this time. Now is the moment for Him to show what He wills to do on your behalf. Believe Him and His promises and enjoy both His presence and power.

A QUOTE TO THINK ABOUT

Our strength is shown in the things we stand for; our weakness is shown in the things we fall for.

Men of genius are admired; men of wealth are envied; men of power are feared; but only men of character are trusted.

As an athlete needs to regularly train in order to be able to be b at his best so as to render peak performances so it must be with you in your walk with and work for the LORD. There are times for rest to recuperate but then diligence has to be shown in eating the right iet, systematically exercising and so on to feel and do good. The LORD comes through to those who give Him room by pray, reading God’s Word, imbibing the Holy Spirit etc. So mae sure today you do what you know what you should do spiritually and you are sure to be a winner!

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

The glorious assurance that gives immense prospect is the one stated by John in his letters. He affirms that the sons of God have incredible possibilities on Christ’s return. His message is: ‘it doth not appear what we shall be but we know that, when he shall appear we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is’ – 1 John 3: 2. May be you are somewhat disappointed at present with your progress to being like Christ; cheer up, when He puts in His appearance there is be a transformation, you are to end up and be found in His image. Even the psalmist entertained this conviction and hope. He makes the admission: ‘As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness’ – Psalm 17:15. In the old chorus it is voiced: ‘Someday I shall be like Him, like Him; Changed to heavenly beauty when His face I see.’ Ever realize you are going to take on His image forever!

A WORD IN SEASON

Turning tragedy and trouble into one of triumph really requires the providential workings and assistance of God. When hard knocks come to choice people it is only the LORD who can come and bring relief and make them stepping stones into something beautiful. It happened centuries ago to a little family. The Bible book of Ruth gives a brief account how really difficult experiences were turned to amazing good. Naomi and her husband Elimelech had changed countries because of a famine in Bethlehem known as the house of bread. They had two sons who married two ladies from Moab. Then death struck 3 times in the course of ten years. Father and two married sons in the household died. Naomi thought it better to get back home where she mind find some relief. Ruth escorted her and eventually married Boaz a kinsmen redeemer and their fortunes were dramatically altered. Her offspring was to become the forerunner of the king of Israel and later the Messiah, Jesus Christ. In your grief know the LORD will turn it to good in the long run! All is not lost even when things seem negative and destructive!

A QUOTE TO THINK ABOUT

If you find a path with no obstacles – it is probably a path doesn’t lead anywhere.

Do not be discouraged – it may be the last key in the bunch that opens the door.

The capacity and capability to endure and hold steady is one of the essential demands for successful living. It may well be you are thrust in circumstances now that are most demanding and call for that extra strength and metal in order to make it. The London marathon over the week-end witnessed countless numbers of people seeking to find out how fit they were and if their bodies could endure intense rigours and to know whether they were in ship-shape condition. How delightful to cross the finishing line in great style! But there are other things that require this mind and heart set of perseverance. A marriage being tested, perhaps a job that is very draining, physical ailment that requires great attention, a course you are working on is harder than you thought etc. Be encouraged today to press on and through until you win your spurs. Do not quit when the going gets tough, but draw upon the resources of Christ that can help you win through.

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

The psalmist voiced this expression, ‘we went through fire and water but you brought us out into a wealthy place’ – Psalm 66:12. This was a very tough assignment but the LORD and His servant was up to the ordeal. In the midst of the fire and water the LORD was present to give strength and power to press on through the trying circumstances. The psalmist was not alone but discovered he had someone present to uphold and assist in the whole ordeal. Like the three Hebrew children when sentence to be placed in the fiery furnace, the LORD joined them and quelled the fire and not even the smell of burning was on them – Daniel 3. He is still around to be with all His saints and see them through the tough times and bring them out into abundance. Arise to your immediate challenge and make it subservient to your progress and success.

A WORD IN SEASON

Day by Day the demands of life have to be met and the danger is of becoming overwrought with not having certain things. A lot of people are of the opinion that the possession of things is one of the all-important considerations of life hence the intense pursuit after them. The wise words of Christ must be duly thought on and given belief and action. ‘Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth’ – Luke 12: 15. The more one has the more strain and stress can be known. Trust the LORD and living for Him ensures one’s well being in every way. The writer to the saints in Hebrews 13; 5 ‘Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, “I will never leave nor forsake you” .’ Having the LORD with you ensures provision for all your need – Psalm 23:1.

Be glad in the LORD today. You have every reason to be so because primarily He is your LORD. In sensing His Lordship, it will be exercised on your behalf in all matters as He is the subject of your delight and pleasure. He will note and be blessed by the knowledge that you recognise His position of power and presidency and will give satisfying proof of it today. This knowledge is not only revealed in Holy Writ but is now to be apparent in your affairs. Pave the way to its expression now by opening your lips in gladsome praise. Make rich melody and praise by singing a psalm of thanksgiving and so enjoy this spiritual and see the difference it makes. that will be yours. The psalmist declares: ‘Open thou my lips and my mouth shall show for math Thy wpraise.’

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

David in his career with and for the LORD knew what it was to live and move in His promised strength. He could affirm: ‘It is God that girds me with strength, and makes my way perfect’ – Psalm 18: 32. He did not simply have the strength of a unique input to face the giant, Goliath. There was imparted to him such life, vitality and courage to be put through a procedure of constant conflict. There were times when he sensed his inadequacies but he knew where to go for a top up. In no way was he left to a violent opposition or circumstances impossible to deal with. His great stand-by was the LORD who was more than able to meet his demand.

DAY BY DAY

One of the great virtues that is created and cultivated through the indwelling love of God is humility. It is a quality of being and behaviour that cannot be hid. In no way does it seek the limelight but it graciously and gloriously manifests itself in a lowly light. It certainly was instinct in Christ and eventually promoted Him to the highest station of all, King of kings and Lord of lords. He humbly, without ado, laid aside His august divine form to lay hold of ordinary humanity – see Phil 2. He ultimately allowed himself to be humiliated on a Roman gibbet, being greatly despised. The wise proverb has it: ‘Before honour, humility.’ So the way up is the way down, the sure path to true glory!

Good Advice: ‘Don’t ever save anything for a special occasion. Every day you are alive is a special occasion.

22/04/18

Today is known historically and religiously as the LORD’S DAY. It is one that is called such because emphasis is to be placed on HIM and He us to be honoured throughout its hours and proceedings. Be reminded of the spiritual fact that it is not the Day that is to be duly regarded but the LORD. Where He is really such there is no difficulty in giving Him the worship, faith and obedience. In point of fact to the genuine Christian every day is His and He given prominence and allegiance. The apostle Paul was simply sold out in love of Him and service to Him at all times, everyday. See that He likewise calls forth from the same from you. Remember Christ’s own words to His disciples- ‘You call me LORD for so I am.’ Have the best of days with and for Him!

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

It is good to be well thought of and appreciated by those around you. For people to speak good of you in glowing terms is to be welcomed and especially if the LORD shows His esteem. He makes the point through Samuel His position. In 1 Sam 2: 30 the LORD makes it plain: ‘for those that honour Me I will honour.’ If you would gain the respect and blessing of heaven above on your life and labour then you must show deference to and reverence of Him now. No one can reward like Him because of His standing and capacities. One cannot afford to be difficult and awkward in disposition and deed in relation to Him. Being found living in accord with His design is bound to pay off in every way. So make sure that you are giving Him His honourable status because it will be obvious in your own exaltation.

DAY BY DAY

It has been a good day, Saturday. Our eldest son, Philip, and daughter, Jacqui, came to spend some quality time with us. When you get older you are exceedingly thrilled for choice occasions with your children and grandchildren. Today has been special in spending time down memory lane and to be up-dated with what is taking place in the now. Joan, as usual made a lovely dinner which was thoroughly enjoyed. These little things are important and lift life and living into genuine love and pleasure. Let me encourage you, old and young and all in between to make much of family fellowship. Do not end your days wishing you had done it but stir up to action, now. So bring it on and let us take time to meet!

21/04/18

Jesus Christ is the Light of the World to all humanity. He has come to bring the Light of Life into life so that all may experience and enjoy His light in and on life making it both pleasurable and profitable. Instead of existing in darkness, not knowing what life is all about, this state is dramatically changed into knowledge and true understanding in relation to God, yourself, meaning to everything. Today He would enter your being and switch you on so that the world of darkness is bidden goodbye. Two men who had been blind from birth came to Christ to seek instant deliverance. Their faith was instantly rewarded with natural sight. The first person that filled their sight and vision was Christ and they immediately followed Him. A wise decision. Christ would do the same for you, lighting you up today with His presence and perception. Make sure you have been switched on by Him!

A PROMISE TO INSPIRE

Moses had been a real inspiration to Joshua. The successor to the leadership of Israel had been lovingly schooled by his predecessor. He took more notice of him than the rest of the people in Israel. Before his removal Moses sets Joshua up for his mission, saying to him, ‘Be strong and of a God courage . . .’ The same was be uttered by the LORD In Joshua 1. He would encouragement from both if he was to finish the task that had been started. Joshua is emboldened to take on the role and do a fantastic work appreciated by all. So you have been summoned at this vital stage in the Church and World history to give the all important directives that will answer all the negative conditions. The Christian Church is on the brink of her eternal inheritance and requires people to make a mark for the LORD. Do not faint but rise up to see the land taken for the LORD!
