In a discontented world and society it is essential to know where real contentment is to be found and enjoyed. It is not in the possession of things nor in being in a promoted position or in other considerations. Christ was the most contented of all people that has ever lived and can bring this happy state to you. He makes it possible for people to be forgiven, freed from sin, become a member of God’s Family and open the door to life in heaven. You must make certain that you have been introduced to Him and this benefit of true contentment.

No two days are alike, they are different and are to be faced with a spirit of divine confidence trusting the LORD to give you wisdom, faith and strength to negotiate them well, for good and profit. The hours ahead with Him alongside will mean you will succeed in accomplishing great things that will add to your character and usefulness. Your age, whether young, middle age or older is no barrier to being used by the LORD in a beautiful and fruitful manner that enriches others and adds to your testimony for Him. Begin to break out in becoming and doing something more so that at the conclusion meaningful steps and progress will have been recorded. Know that the eyes of your loving Master are on you to encourage in every way and situation.

A Pep Talk: There are occasions that take place when an individual needs to be straightened up in their mind because they have allowed sad and difficult events and experiences to lower and weaken their spirits. When one has been subjected to a great loss, the negative factors move in to lower the threshold of faith, inspiration and hope. Peter was in that kind of state when Christ died and despair invaded his being and he felt good for nothing up . He was in for chucking things and going back fishing! Christ gave him a real pep talk – see John 21 and he was reclaimed, renewed and ready to face the staggering crowd on the day of Pentecost with immense boldness and blessing. May be that is all you require today, someone to draw near and speak the word. Yes, it is Just for You Today!

Did you know that the LORD does not miss a thing. He is ever in complete touch with all, everybody and everything and knows how to handle all. He is greater than His creation and is well-placed to attend to each succeeding demand. Be assured, He will always be attentive to you wherever you are and whatever requirement is yours. This is purposed to be of real value to you so that you can act with His backing and blessing. In union with Him you will go places, meet some choice people and perform vital business and service for Him that will be very rewarding. He does not want you to miss out on anything and providing you give Him Is rightful place and dues, life will be an enjoyable factor. What prospect lies ahead immediately and ultimately!

It is because of your relationship with the LORD that ordinary days can somehow be change into the extraordinary. When it seems nothing is happening of an exceptional order, in a moment, because of His presence and power there can come a situation of dramatic intervention. The infant Church was blessed with wonderful incidents in its everyday working. Going into the temple and seeing a lame man unable to walk and begging for money, Peter and John stepped out of the natural into the supernatural and saw him instantly healed. It triggered of an incredible reception of the Christian Gospel. You can be the means of a great spiritual stir as faith is exercised to some extreme need and a miracle occur that will switch people on to Christ.  Today is your day to be used to introduce a miracle!

I remember as youngster just after the World War broke out in 1939 the song “Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high”was sung in our infant school. I have never been able to forget it! In my early teens I gave my life to Christ and one of the choruses I learned still lives with me, and in this instance is true. “Somewhere beyond the blue, there’s a mansion for me. Somewhere beyond the blue, I am longing to be. I’ll see my Saviour’s face and sing amazing grace. Somewhere beyond the blue someday.” Christ has gone to prepare my eternal home in heaven – John 14:1-3. What a great thing to know where you are going at the end! Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people! Make sure you are going there!

Nobody lives trouble free in this life! Whoever you are there sure to be occasions when it comes knocking on your door whether you like it or not. A good mind and heart set are vital to confronting events and experiences of an untoward nature that occur. Both Jacob and Joseph were people who had to face dilemma that must have made them think and how to handle such. Thankfully Christians know that their LORD is aware of the sudden change in questioning circumstances and fortunes. He is present to calm distressing thoughts, aggravating conditions and other negatives that are not helpful. Being present He can afford His wisdom and settle matters in an efficient manner. Whatever lies before you in the next hours that are troublesome, be assured, He is untroubled and will solve the issues that alarm.

People do forget although they sincerely make their promise not to do so. To aid in memory, statues, bodily markings and other means are adopted in order to aid in keeping in thought and mind. The LORD does not need any aids whatsoever but has every individual under His loving omniscient gaze. He could say to Israel as a Nation: “yes they may forget; yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have indelibly imprinted you on the palms of each hands; your walls are continually are continually before me” – Isaiah 49: 1,5,16. It is recorded in a voice and language and understanding that can be valued! Today, and throughout this week, the LORD does not have to call to mind and memory about you and your circumstances. Look to Him to have His say and input and all will be well!

There is much that occurring around you that greatly disturbing and would cause you to fear and be filled with questioning. But your LORD and MASTER would strengthen your mind and heart so that you do both surrender to such. He would impart His own nature and power By His  Spirit and Word so that you will dictate to them and bid them depart and your authority will be evident. Peace will prevail and you will enjoy a great day enjoying His presence and provdence.

What choice words the psalmist uses in Psalm 40:17! – “As for me, I am poor and needy, yet the LORD thinketh on me.” Although He gives constant attention to the universe and all creatures, He does not by-pass anyone. He is able to concentrate without any difficulty with respect to anyone and give absolute attention to the person with all of life’s demands. If there is one thing the Bible reveals and undermines is this fact that God’s eye is on everyone specifically and can act alongside each one showing His grace and goodness? Know that today you are not alone because the eyes, mind and heart of Lord is focused on you to give you a blessed day. You may be in a desperate state but He is never reduced to such a condition. Enjoy His mindfulness and bountifulness. You are special to Him!
