You may come an end to things in yourself knowing that there is no way that you can solve the situations that are before you. When things are of such a nature it is easy to pull yourself apart and press the panic button. That kind of procedure only makes things worse! You need to stop and take thought of God and enter into a vital accord with Him because He is never stuck for answers and solutions. He who created the whole universe and runs it effectively, without sweat or difficulty, is alongside you today to work the wonder you require. He is a very faithful God and can be relied on to step into your emergencies and produce whatever is called for. He is by your side today to prove in this 21^st century nothing baffles or bothers Him!

You were never created by the LORD to live and work out your life alone, to find your own thing and choose your own options. Such ends with nothing to show for it. No, you were created by Him to discover from Him the path you must tread, the gifts to be released and developed, the goals to be wonderfully achieve. In blessed partnership with Him there is all to accomplish that achieves the most in every way and where there is nothing to be ashamed of. As you press forward with Him you will enter into that which is full of potential and possibility. As the angels view you in your opportunity they are somewhat a little envious in the right way of the gift the LORD has made available to you. Be deliberate at being your best and you will achieve the same!

JUST FOR YOU TODAY

Are you feeling all dried up within having spent yourself relentlessly
in some Christian work. The demands have been great and taken their toil. It can happen like that! In that condition it is quite possible and pack up altogether. The best and wisest course is to proceed with due care, restraint, prayer and thoughtfulness. It may well be what you have been involved in and with is the end of the chapter, not you! Something fresh and fuller could well appear that requires a new you with greater realisation that you were being prepared for a much finer remit. New reserves and capabilities are to come to life and light, a fresh era to enter into. Take to heart the encouragements that are to come your way. Let a glorious excitement fill your being.

PRAYER

It is so important to keep up a vigil in praying for friends and those especially engaged in Christian ministry and missions. Many years ago, in my second pastorate in Louth, John Gardner brought a wonderful team of young people to conduct a Children’s Crusade from Sunderland. It was a real success. More than four decades later when John was old I met him in his home. His words are unforgettable. “Every day, Ernest, since that time, I have never ceased to pray for you.” What a blessing that was to me and anything achieved in life and ministry can be attributed to those often unseen and unsung heroes!

In your walk and talk with the LORD today, learn to enjoy His company, after all, He seeks your companionship above all, where you become real and choice friends. It is out of this accord that relationship grows and develops that is dynamic. Know this, from His viewpoint, He looks for a lasting oneness that will be eternal. After all, that is why He surrendered His divine form (Phil 2) and took on human form and residence to get close to you. So do not miss out today or any day from entering in and having hallowed communion with the best and greatest!

PRAYER

Christian believers are called upon to ‘pray without ceasing’ – 1 Thess 5:17. Besides being encouraged to pray there are things directed to pray for. Paul gave directions in this. He declared, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercession, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority. . .” – 1 Tim 2: 1, 2. An obligation is laid upon Christendom to make a valid contribution for those who head and lead our nation. So pray for our new prime minister, Boris Johnson. May he have the right team around him in cabinet that will benefit the UK and other people in every way. Don’t sit on the side lines in criticism but join the prayer lines in powerful prayer! It

A great emphasis in the New Testament is that the Christian believer should enter into an experience of real rest in every way, with regard to life and eternity, with due respect to natural and spiritual things. Satan, circumstances, people act to bring disorder, tumult, chaos etc., to upset the balance and progress of being and character. It is only through the Saviour-hood and Lordship of Christ in the life that such can be rightly dealt with successfully. He brings the blessing of His presence and capabilities to place you in the driving seat where you can you triumphantly motor on to real accomplishments. Instead of bemoaning your weaknesses you confess His strength and sufficiency to confront all obstacles and see them mastered to immense satisfaction. Rest in the adequacy Christ to not only be with you but to lend all the assistance required.

In beginning a fresh day and work week make is your spiritual aim to know a closer walk with God. As Bev Shea used to sing:”Just a colder walk with Thee, Grant it Jesus is my plea; Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be! Let it be!” It can be rightly stated one cannot be too close to the LORD. Intimacy with Him at the highest level will mean the impartation of His life, nature and heaven’s qualities. What a difference Christ makes to life and living when His presence and influence takes over. The early opponents of the Christian disciples came to this conclusion concerning them: “They took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus” – Acts 4:13. Can family, friends and others know that you spend your time with Him? The would still needs to know the affect of people who have this dynamic lifestyle.
