Often behind the event or untoward experience is His purpose to shake you out of complacency and seeming apathy. It is quite easy to settle down and even drift a little without really noticing. Such hinders the maximum development that He has in mind, hence the need for Him to shake up to make you to contend for the real issues of life. Wherever up to this moment the LORD has brought you, be aware of the fact that there is much more ahead of significance that encountered and rightly dealt with will make a better individual of you so that you might serve Him to the full and advance His name, cause. He is preparing you for your ultimate status and calling. He never hangs around and neither does He want you, too.

They are to be found in the Bible which is a rich treasure trove of assurance that is to embolden and advance the state and status of your union with Christ. They are countless in number and are adequate to meet each daily circumstance no matter how demanding and extreme. There is sacred guarantee for your strength – ‘He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength’ – Isaiah 41: 29. From the LORD today can come all the life and energy to fulfil all the demands of it. You will have opportunity to prove it!

Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Ruth, Esther and many others discovered what an asset He was to accomplishment of all that was worthwhile. Yes, to day in Bank Holiday Monday and the word ‘holiday’ implies ‘Holy-‘day’. Many have the idea that suggests restriction, misery and gloom. Israel had many such days that were intended to be happy times when they switched on to God in a meaningful happy and glorious fashion. They were locked into Him who was the inspiration of their existence and future. It meant having a great time of celebration and joy and the LORD being the true cause of it. They rested, feasted, rejoiced, danced in purposeful fashion and benefited in their accord with Him. So why not copy their example. Find out for yourself, He is worthy of your trust and pleasure and have a red-letter with Him which will trigger off even something more of worth and delight.

Observe that the standard set by Christ to those who would truly be His disciples is the highest possible and cannot be improved upon. It was manifested above in Him with the purpose that it should be dynamically expressed and reproduced in His followers. You are called upon daily to show forth His quality nature and perform deeds that are characteristic of Him. It is only possible when He enters in the life as Saviour and LORD, cleansing your past and coming to live within as the divine dynamic and driving force. Self in no way can attain this high demand. As you commence this new work make sure Christ is on board and in charge and you will rise to heights of achievements that will be approved above by God the Father.

A lesson and script that we ought to take from Christ is the commitment to have love and time for all. We must avoid the matter of forming a clique, in group, or elite faction, although is it good and helpful to have close friends that you converse with and relate to for good. The Christian Church is primarily a divine family of which has God as Father, one Saviour and LORD and one Holy Spirit indwelling all. They unite in seeking a oneness of life, love and devotion to all and this must be present in those who form His unique body on earth. It is more than a denomination, a select club but is open to all who will respond to the Godhead. So remember that you must demonstrate true friendship to everyone on the same terms today.

In fact, your life will overflow to others in a beneficent manner and measure and others will taste the richness of your LORD and experience His presence and pleasure. Do not be a moaner or murmurer; be one who sheds both a radiance and fragrance that is of a heavenly quality to society all around and the Christian Fellowship. Your life has worth and meaning that can enhance their worth so that all will know the delight of your presence and input. As you write your diary at the day’s conclusion, may you be able to record the difference the LORD has enabled you to make.

One of most soul destroying emotions that can enter and beset a person and can cause existence to be a misery and pain is that of fear. It ever sits on the doorstep waiting admission and if permitted entrance will damage the blessing that life can be. Someone has stated that there are 365 ‘Fear not’s’ in the Bible so underlining its presence and action. The answer to fear is faith and the LORD is able to give you both the spirit of faith and power to forbid them entrance and dominance. Satan agitates and seeks to create chaos through this but those that resist him and his efforts will be greatly rewarded. Love, faith, peace and joy will rule and life will work out as the LORD has planned for you. No, you are not to be a victim of fear but its victor.

Let the LORD fill your vision at the outset of the day and let it be sustained throughout every moment. God’s ancient people, its leaders and members, all had to come know this truth and fact. He was to be their Sovereign LORD in deliverance, pilgrimage and possession. Regrettably they allowed others gods who were not God to fill their minds and actions and it brought problems. The Sovereign LORD is your best Friend and if you have Him in charge and control all will be to your advantage. Note He is not a mere ‘pal’: HE IS SOVEREIGN LORD! There is nothing that He and you cannot face and deal with to immense blessing and prospect. He is LORD whether you know and admit it. The wise take it to heart and build a wholesome accord with Him.
