WELCOME TO THIS CHRISTIAN WEBSITE

Welcome to this Christian Website which has now been going for a number of years. Over 130,000 people have visited it since 2006. On the left hand side of the introductory page is a host of subjects and material that have been placed during this time and is there for your interest, study and perusal.

I feel it is time and right to change the format and to present day by day something a little simpler and trust will benefit and bless those who visit it. It will consist of A Golden Promise from the Scriptures, Wisdom that Works by Bob Stevenson, Choice Quotations and daily Meditations, working through the whole Bible, something to focus your mind on are included that can be developed more fully by you. I trust you will find such refreshing and helpful.

A GOLDEN PROMISE

“You open your hand,  and satisfy the desire of every living thing”- Psalm 145:16

Just think of this promise. When God simply opens His hand, He provides for all that He created! Sometimes when I ask for daily provision, it is like I am doing so expecting some big miracle. But the truth of the matter is that fathers provide for their children. Since God is the perfect Father, He has made a commitment to provide for all that He has created.

Sadly, we still see unfathomable suffering around the world. From what I understand, God has provided enough food to feed every person on the planet. The issue is not with Him, but with those charged to steward the resources of the earth.

If we would only be willing to share the wealth of our resources that God has given to us, there would be no starvation. It isn’t God who isn’t providing, rather it is a world full of orphans that aren’t willing to share what they have received.

When it comes to our daily provision, we need not look to our own resources for the answer, but to the unlimited resources that come from heaven. May we all echo the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray to our Father in the Lord’s prayer and say… “Give us this day our daily bread”.

If Jesus said that we should ask our Father daily for provision, then we need to link our faith with expectancy that He hears our prayers and He will be faithful to provide… Just by opening up His hand!

WISDOM THAT WORKS

BROKEN DOWN WALLS – Rev. Bob. Stevenson

”A man without self-control is as defenceless as acity with broken down walls”.

Read: Proverbs 25:28

I have lost count of the times I have used to encourage the rebuilding of those protective walls around our lives which God has given for our safety and security. Our lives are like those old time cities which had high surrounding walls interspersed with access gates. These gates were to facilitate the access and exit of those who had the legitimate right to come and go through those gates. The walls likewise were to protect the citizens from those who would seek to impose their will or rule by force or aggression.

Unfortunately, for one reason or another, these defences could now be penetrated leaving inhabitants of the city vulnerable and subservient to those who gained such illegitimate access. So with our lives, if we allow ourselves to be invaded by forces intent on taking control, eventually all our God given defences will be destroyed leaving us at the mercy of the oppressor. The good news is that those walls can be rebuilt again, if we are prepared to take control of our own destiny, which is ours by right through the promises of God.

Every time we take control through positive biblical confession we replace another stone on our broken down wall. It may be difficult, but only you can do the rebuilding. So start today to make the changes that will re-establish your defences and in so doing put you back in control.

A QUOTE TO NOTE – Henry Adams

It is impossible to underrate human intelligence – beginning with one’s own.

DAILY MEDITATIONS

CONFIRMING SIGNS – 1 Samuel 10: 1-16

This was to be a choice day in the life of Saul. It commenced with him being anointed by this respected, divinely appointed prophet to be the commander over the Lord’s inheritance, Israel. A completely new course now lay before him and it was imperative that he truly sensed and knew it within his being. A heavy, divine responsibility was being laid upon him that he must become totally consecrated to. With great love and care the aged servant of God performed this sacred task – v1.

The day was to be marked by some extraordinary happenings. There would be the news that the lost asses had been found and this should have made him realise that the past hours had been no accident. Three men would meet him with substantial, physical provision – vv3, 4. He would meet a company of prophets at a certain place and he would be inspired to join them in prophesying as ‘The Spirit of the Lord came upon him’ – vv5, 6, 10. All these came to pass thus confirming God’s plan for his life.

This shows that those whom God calls to leadership and unique positions within His Kingdom can expect Him to give all the needful assurances so that there can be a positive application to His revealed will. Within His Kingdom He seeks to appoint, anoint and assure His servants so that they may be aware of Him and be tuned in to His overall plans. He would grace and gift you for the task and service that He has called you to so that you may live in the prospect and experience of His guidance.
