ENEMIES TO BE BEST OF FRIENDS: The Christian message focuses attention on enemies becoming the best of friends. Never forget what Christ taught on the Sermon on the Mount on this issue. He said: “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them who hate you . . . . That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven . . . .’ – Matthew 6: 44-48. You have to emulate your Father and prove your real son-ship. Just loving those who we like in the kingdom of God is not enough. One has completely missed it if that is all we do in the professed Christian Church. Agape, divine love reaches out to one and all with a beautiful dynamism and winsomeness that impacts people in a God-like manner and measure. You are to go out of your way to benefit and bless those who are not switched on to God and His grace by your life-style. The world around waits to be won by the unique quality of God’s love and it must be in and flow through you at a great rate. Pray and work for those who are at present alienated from God!
WISE COUNSEL
SPIRITUAL RECTITUDE: Go in for being absolutely righteous before God with His righteousness and you will find it holds immense and eternal compensations. It is something that He loves to reward. ‘Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) delvers from death’ – Proverbs 10: 2. In other words, the best way to live is to make sure that you go in for is the highest and noblest in the eyes and estimation of the LORD. It leads to life not death. There is productiveness in this manner of being and behaviour that meets God’s approval and blessing. One cannot afford to dismiss and get rid of such an individual that has got their values right, aiming high and wanting to elevate life in every way. Before you, in this world setting, you can be different to the run of the mill person who settles for the wrong things. At the end of the day you can nothing or everything! It is yours to be certain of your vision and values and attain the noblest.
