Thurs – The Joy of Hearing
Good morning! Today, remind yourself that hearing must be important because God gave you two ears to hear sounds and messages from all directions, but especially from Himself. No, it wasn’t that such should pass straight through the head without registration in the mind and heart. Adam and Eve had the unique experience of knowing His Presence and hearing His voice in Eden’s Garden. His words and messages came daily to give inspiration and direction. There is the great emphasis in the Bible that there should be the delight of knowing, listening and observing God’s voice. In Revelation 1-3 the churches must hear what the Holy Spirit is seeking to convey for faith and obedience. Be encouraged now to open up your ears today to what the LORD wants you to know. The psalmist said on one occasion: “I will hear what God the Lord will speak.”
