Good morning! Today, know that your God desires the happiness of His people, for you to reflect His nature with a tremendous sense of delight and rapture. The psalms, to a great extent, appear to manifest this state of being. David sets the pattern as one who knew how to rejoice. Of course, he knew the depths of sadness but gladness characterised his life in the main. He could say, “God is my exceeding joy” and happy is that people whose God is the LORD”. One is reminded of the little story of the little boy who went collecting bottles from people on their doorstep. He approached one lady requesting if she had some good bottles she could give him. She was surly and not in a good temper and said, no to his request. The lad looked her and asked if she had any vinegar bottles! God made you to smile and be happy and one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling is JOY. Let it abound, TODAY!
God can use impressions to speak to you. He can use circumstances. He can even use pain. He can use whatever he wants to use. Oswald Chambers said, “God is the Great Engineer, creating circumstances to bring about moments in our lives of divine importance, leading us to divine appointments.”
